After the show in Duluth: Gas South District guide
ATL Event Prints

After the show in Duluth, near Gas South District

The floor at Gas South District closes, and you're in Duluth, not Downtown Atlanta. You don't need to drive back into the city for a good night. Downtown Duluth is a short rideshare from the halls, with a music room on the town green and two beer spots on the same stretch of Main Street. Closer to the interstate, there's Lao cooking and a bakery that stays open after dark.

Checked October 2026. Places change, so call ahead.

Red Clay Music Foundry. A redbrick theater on the Duluth Town Green, run by Eddie Owen, who built his name booking live music at Eddie's Attic in Decatur. There's live music every weekend, plus a songwriters open mic on the second and fourth Sundays. Check the calendar for the night you're free. Downtown Duluth.

Good Word Brewing & Public House. Beer brewed on site and Latin and Southern cooking, from the team behind Decatur's Brick Store Pub. Open until 11pm, and until midnight Friday and Saturday, so it still works after a late close on the floor. Main Street, Downtown Duluth.

Truck & Tap. A craft beer bar with a rotating draft list and a food truck lineup that changes through the week. Check the schedule to see who's cooking tonight. Opens at 3pm on weekdays and noon on weekends. Main Street, Downtown Duluth.

Snackboxe Bistro. Chef Thip Athakhanh's Laotian cooking, with a patio and Lao-inspired cocktails at the full bar. It closes at 8pm most nights and 9pm on Friday and Saturday, so go after an early close or on teardown day. Day Drive, near the interstate. Duluth.

Sweet Hut Bakery & Cafe. Fresh-baked pastries, bubble tea and cake by the slice, open until 10pm and 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Pick up a box of pastries for the booth crew tomorrow. Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth.

Southeastern Railway Museum. Georgia's official transportation history museum, on 35 acres with more than 90 pieces of rolling stock. Stand on the back platform of the 1911 Pullman car used by President Warren G. Harding. It keeps daytime hours late in the week, so check its open days before you go. Good for a free afternoon before move-in. Buford Highway, Duluth.

Getting back: plan a rideshare or a driver who isn't drinking.
